(We know it's confusing, we're working on it!)

Preserve Our Wildlife Environment and Resources (now DBA East Manatee Preservation) was created back in 2021 in Myakka, Florida by a group of locals dedicated to raising awareness and greater appreciation for the Old Florida charm of eastern Manatee County with the stated purpose “to protect and preserve wildlife, land, and community resources.”

Our motto is "for the love of the land" and our goal is to engage with our community through conversations and learning opportunities, highlighting the importance of agricultural and rural lands, wildlife conservation, and wetland protection. In addition, we hope to someday be able to support new or struggling local agricultural businesses or conservation initiatives through grants and other means.
